Slade Thompson

If you've met me, then you know that fitness has played a defining role in shaping the man I am today. Although I grew up playing football, it wasn't until college that I discovered a genuine passion for training. I began to fully commit myself to extensively pursuing my goals & exploring what I was truly capable of. During those vital years, my approach to training began to take shape. I spent countless hours researching different methodologies, testing workouts, building programs, & experimenting with a variety of training styles. Through that process, I developed a deep love for & began relentlessly training toward competing in the CrossFit Games.

Then, in November 2023, everything changed; A catastrophic hand injury abruptly altered the course I had envisioned for my life. The months that followed revolved around surgery, rehabilitation, & recovery. While physically & mentally challenging, that season dramatically deepened my understanding of how the human body heals, adapts, & grows stronger. My mindset in learning to endure through suffering led me to a new path. Running became a form of therapy, a way to process everything I was going through. It closely mirrored my recovery: steady progress, growth through discomfort, & an essential reliance on patience.

Not long afterward, I signed up for my first marathon. Then, I took it even further by registering for my first 100-mile ultramarathon. That season of training launched me into the world of endurance. Since then, I've continued to pursue both endurance & strength training, constantly refining my knowledge of programming, fueling, recovery, & performance. Each new challenge has broadened my understanding of what it means to be a well-rounded, more complete athlete & coach. My story has taught me that there is immense strength through suffering & I'd be honored to help you see that too.
